01

HISTORY AND ORIGIN

The current Dreams Hotel stands on the former site of Sun Beach, one of the first large resorts in Playa Blanca. Built in the 1980s, it marked the beginning of the town’s transformation from a fishing village into a modern tourist destination.

03

RENOVATION AND MODERNISATION

The renovation focused on energy efficiency. The building now includes thermal insulation, smart consumption systems, and optimised lighting. All systems were designed with sustainability and long-term operational performance in mind.

05

ROLE IN THE URBAN LANDSCAPE

The hotel’s silhouette, visible from the promenade, has become a defining feature of Playa Blanca’s coastal identity. Its location and form contribute to a visual reference known to both locals and visitors.

02

ORIGINAL STRUCTURE AND CONCEPT

The original hotel featured three blocks with a central pool and direct sea access. The new complex preserves an open layout and maintains direct access to our beach, continuing the original urban concept of a coastal connection and openness.

04

INTEGRATION INTO THE SURROUNDINGS

The reconstruction included adjustments to the building’s height to better match the surrounding architecture. Natural tones and materials were chosen to reflect the volcanic landscape and create a seamless visual transition between the hotel, promenade, and coast.

06

PHASED RENOVATION AND OPERATION

The renovation was carried out in stages to minimise disruption in the area. This approach ensured that tourism and daily life in Playa Blanca continued uninterrupted, with the project managed in a way that respected the local environment.
